FAQ

How long will it take for the product to be shipped after completing the order?

Under normal circumstances, the delivery time after completing the order: Home delivery takes about 1-3 working days (excluding holidays).

How does InBody measure my body composition?

InBody uses weak currents in different frequency bands to sense the body's resistance, which is called "bioelectrical impedance analysis" (abbreviated as BIA ) to measure muscles and body fat.

Muscle: high water content, low resistance; fat: low water content, high resistance

What is the difference between InBody and other brands?

Other brands will use empirical variables to make estimates. Assume that the user is a 30 -year-old male. The measured data of other brands will be weighted based on the data of all 30 -year-old males in the database to make the results closer to the maternal average. However, such results are Not a true measurement by the user.

InBody does not use empirical variables, just measure as much as possible, and faithfully reflect the data results. Therefore, it has become the preferred measurement brand in the fitness circle, the medical community and even the United States Space Agency ( NASA ).

Why do I keep getting error codes when I measure?

It may be because the user did not contact the sensing electrode correctly, or the cuticle on the sole of the user's foot is too thick, preventing the current from passing smoothly. It is recommended that the user align the heel of the foot with the electrode, or wet the foot with a wet tissue before taking the measurement.

Will there be steel nails or other metal brackets in my body that will affect the measurement?

Yes, and it has a very big impact, because the conductivity of metal is several times that of water, and the machine will misjudge when current passes through. In addition, users whose hearts are equipped with metal stents must not take measurements, otherwise they may affect their heart rate and cause shock.

Why is it not recommended to measure during pregnancy?

Although the current will not affect the fetus, because a woman's hormones and body water will change greatly during pregnancy, the measured results will have no reference value. It is recommended to measure again after delivery. In addition, the hormone and water variability of women during their menstrual period is also very large, and we do not recommend that women measure it during their menstrual period.

Why are my measurement results different every day?

The human body is metabolizing every minute. Different time periods, physiological states, or the amount of water and food consumed in a single day may affect the measurement results, just like heart rate and blood pressure. We recommend that users take measurements at most once a week and refer to their weekly physical status. If the user insists on measuring every day, we recommend that the measurement be fixed on an empty stomach and after urination every morning after waking up.

How different is the home version H20N from the professional version for gyms?

The home version can achieve an accuracy of over 97% of the professional version. If compared with the industry's highest-grade Dexa bone mineral density meter, it also has an accuracy of 93% . It is the most accurate home version of the body fat meter on the market.

Can the results obtained by the App be output?

Unfortunately, due to InBody's response to the paperless environmental awareness in recent years, the results of the App can only be viewed by the user and cannot be output. If you want to share data, it is recommended to use sharing in the App (up to five data items can be shared) or screenshots.

Is the lower the body fat rate, the better?

Generally speaking, we all hope that the body fat is as low as possible, but if it is less than 15% for women, it may affect hormone secretion, leading to irregular menstruation or other physiological problems. Therefore, lower body fat is not necessarily better. A basic amount of body fat can also protect internal organs and will be less likely to be injured when external forces impact.

Common nouns are as follows :

BMI| Weight divided by height (meters) squared

Body fat weight | Measured body fat weight (kg)

Muscle weight | Measured muscle weight (kg)

Body fat rate| The measured body fat weight divided by the percentage of total weight (body fat weight / total weight *% ), the Ministry of Health and Welfare states that men should be less than 25% and women should be less than 30%

Visceral fat grade | Body fat is divided into "subcutaneous fat" and "visceral fat". Visceral fat is hidden in the internal organs and cannot be distinguished by the naked eye. Since everyone's body constitution is different and body fat is accumulated in different places, the visceral fat grade is the basis for observing the visceral fat standard. The normal range is 1 to 9. If it exceeds 9 , it means that the amount of visceral fat is too high, which may lead to fatty liver, renal lipoma, etc. symptom.

Basal metabolic rate| refers to the minimum amount of calories a person needs in a day in an extremely static life. In short, it is the minimum amount of calories a person needs to maintain a normal life without exercising at all throughout the day.
